Hello Garage of Colorado Springs Case Studies: Replacing Yellowing Epoxy Floor
Challenge
This Castle Rock, CO couple had a beautiful home but did not like their garage floor. In addition to it beginning to come up on the tires, it had this yellowed look which drove them crazy. They wanted to know how they should rectify this. Could we blend it or put something over it?
Solution
It would not be wise to try and "fix" a failing floor by putting something over the top of it. The problem is the bond to the concrete is already compromised which wouldn't be fixed by covering it up. Unfortunately, it would need to be totally redone. Fortunately, a thorough grind of the floor and a 100% polyaspartic coating would give them the brand new look they were seeking, and with our Lifetime Warranty they felt great about never having to redo their floor again.
